TERM 1 Due: Oct. 25
1-While looking at a sunset, recreate what you see--using constuction paper.
2-Create a design using only circles and warm colors.
3-Create a unique american flag (Patriotic).
4-Draw and color your name using graffiti style.
5-Create a design using ball point pen and place watercolor over the top.
6-Copy a paragraph from one side of a book onto a piece of notebook paper laid on top of the other side of your altered book. Write a paragraph or series of sentences on the notebook paper USING A FINE TIP SHARPIE. Once you are done writing, lift the notebook paper up and you will see that a series of dots have seeped through the notebook paper onto the altered book page. Connect these dots together in some fashion to create a mythical figure or animal. Give this newly created character a superpower and a name.
7-Trace three different types of leaves. OUtline in marker. FIll in using triadic colors.
8-Draw three gesture figures.
9-Fill a page with some kind of tape.
10-Who do you think should win the next presidential election and why?
TERM 2 Due: Jan. 11
1- Take a piece of transparency and tape in book. Create a multi-layered design (you can use sharpie to draw on transparency).
2- Create a page using paper clips and staples.
3- Using magazine lettering, write your favorite saying.
4- Using a monochromatic color scheme, draw (color) a pile of money (biils, coin). Actually look at the money-don't make it up.
5- Draw a section of a skeleton (may use a viewfinder).
6- Paste in a picture of your favorite superhero.
7- What is your favorite movie and why?
8- Illustrate your most frightening dream.
9- Draw the pattern on the bottom of your shoe (must have pattern-not smooth) using ink.
10- Create a design using only spirals (color).
Term 3 Due: Mar. 21
1- Create a building using parts of many buildings (magazine).
2- Draw your favorite childhood toy (color).
3- Trace your hand 5 times (color).
4- Fill an entire page only using crayon.
5- Draw one shelf inside your fridge using ink.
6- Cut out and paste 15 eyes on one page.
7- When was the last time something made you cry - what happened?
8- If you were the next President of the U.S., what would be the first thing you would do?
9- Create a new pet - illustrate what it would look like and name it.
10- Pull something out of your backpack, purse, or pocket and draw it.
Term 4 Due: May 23
1- Using a mirror, draw a self portrait using only squares.
2- Paste in a picture of your favorite vacation spot.
3- Create a page using only your favorite color and favorite shape.
4- Create an animal using parts from six different animals.
5- What angers you the most? Explain.
6- Find 3 random things in your room and draw blind contours of them.
7- Draw a food you dislike the most in a color you dislike.
8- Create a chain out of words that best describe you (at least 8 words).
9- Design a creative font and write your full name.
10- Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
